ICC Young Researcher Travel Award |
The ICC Young Researcher Travel Award was established to permit promising young corrosion scientists or engineers, especially from developing countries, to participate at the ICC Congress and present their work.
ICC invites applications for the ICC Young Researcher Travel Award, for attending the 19th International Congress in Jeju, Korea, 2014. Applications shall be submitted in triplicate to the ICC Chairman at least 9 months in advance of the ICC Congress

Terms of Reference |
1.The Executive Committee of the ICC establishes a travel award for students and young researchers. The aim of this award is to permit promising young corrosionists, especially from developing countries, to participate at the ICC Congress and present their work |
2. The award shall consist of a maximum of 1000 Euro to be used towards registration, travel and subsistence cost at the ICC Congress. The money is given to the selected award winner in person upon arrival at the ICC Congress. No other form of money transfer is allowed. In case of non-attendance at the ICC congress the award winner loses all rights to the award money |
3. To qualify for the award a person must be not more than thirty five years old at the time of the ICC Congress. No other restrictions apply |
4. Applications shall be submitted in triplicate to the ICC Chairman at least 9 months in advance of the ICC Congress. The application should contain the title and abstract of the paper to be presented, a curriculum vitae with list of publications and a letter of the competent authority (laboratory director, department, organization etc) certifying that the applicant fulfills the requirements of the award and that he (she) will be able to attend the ICC congress if selected |
5. A jury named by the Executive Committee of ICC selects the award winner based on the submitted documents and taking into account the financial situation of the candidates. The decision of the Jury is final |
6. The existence of the award will be publicized on the ICC WEB site and in the ICC Newsletter
